This detailed volume draws on experts in children's and juvenile literature from every country and has many pictures and illustrations, many of them done by the authors themselves, as in the case of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and the Little Prince, Astrid Lindgren and Pippi Longstocking and Catalan author Roser Capdevila and her famous triplets.

The latest issue of the Spanish books magazine Babelia has an article about the volume, with excerpts of interviews with some of the selected authors, including Atxaga.
